The earliest form of global human trafficking was the African slave trade
After the cessation of the African slave trade, “white slavery” had come into light.
In 1904, the "International Agreement for the Suppression of "White Slave Traffic"" was signed.
In 1921, 33 countries at a League of Nations International conference signed the "International Convention for the Suppression of Traffic in Woman and Children".
In the next 51 years, exploitations such as organ harvesting and labor trafficking grew into scope.
Trafficking is an ongoing problem which has never completely stopped.
